Meet Par-Cel. It is a cutting celery that looks like parsley but tastes like celery. This variety is an 18th century Dutch Heirloom variety that dries exceptionally well. It’s modern German name is ‘Schnittsellerie’ and its Italian name is ‘Verde de Taglio’. Use leaves to season soups, pies, stews and stuffings. Use stalks for a more potent flavouring in the same dishes or add to a salad for a refreshing taste.
